Happy Style is a deeply strange motivational game that hides many secrets

Happy Style is externally a motivational game in which you master random challenges and work through a cheerful, inspiring story campaign. It's all incredibly optimistic and cute, but when I looked at it more accurately, I realized that something did not agree.

For the beginning, developer is called Dmitriy Torgashin Geometry Wars, Ninja Gaiden, Forza Horizon, Fruit Ninja and The Stanley Parable, as well as authors such as Isaac Asimov and Greg Egan as main influences. It should be obvious that this is a pretty versatile list, especially for occasional motivational game.

When I looked at the trailer, I kept expecting a kind of pony Iceland style, and threw the friendly, inspiring façade to reveal something more darker. But Happy Style seems to play the long game and keep his cards mostly close to the chest as he points to the upcoming strangeness.

In fact, Torgashin has called his creation even as the first game in the Werwolf genre, which is defined as total transformation of a seemingly ordinary game in something completely unexpected with a different meaning and another gameplay as the original concept .

Although it is not only about pulling out the carpet with a single rotation or the introduction of an unexpected mechanism under the players, these games must provide a large-scale transformation. Interestingly, the strange elements of Happy Style can be completely skipped or overlooked when you enjoy them to the nominal value, and according to Torgashin, this is another important part of what it makes to a billowing game.

It is certainly very interesting and falls all the more than you find that it is the first title in Torgashin's scheduled series World of Unique Views. This includes many games, books and projects in other formats. Torgashin plans to expand this universe for the coming decades.

If you are looking for something extraordinary, you will find Happy Style in both versions for download for Android premium and playing for free. The start is scheduled for iOS, Nintendo Switch and PS Vita.
