Platinum Games form an alliance of capital with Tencent and approaches the publication of his own titles

For some time, Platinum Games developers have been trying to publish some of his titles. And now, with a little help from Tencent, it s closer to happen.

In a new post on the official page of the company, the president and CEO of Platinum, Kenichi Sato, confirmed that he had concluded an alliance of capital with the Global Titan of the game, in the hope of expanding his plans publication.

We would like to announce that we have received a Capital Investment from Tencent Holdings Limited as a partnership basis, said Sato.

However, this will not change the way Platinum is currently doing business, in collaboration with Nintendo and other companies on various projects.

This partnership has no effect on the independence of our company and we will continue our activities as part of our current business structure.

He then explained in detail what it means for the future of Platinum Games. We hope to use this capital to strengthen our foundation as a company and to move game development to self-edition exploration. We also hope that this partnership can give us a broader global perspective, while creating high quality games that remain true to our name. »

Although he did not mention specific titles from society - or even a timetable as to the date on which she could bruck with a publishing division - this is an excellent news for the future of Platinum Games .

Once again, however, it will not derail its current gaming projects. Bayonetta 3 is on the way to Nintendo Switch, with an advertisement maybe shortly, and he still works on the fall of Babylone alongside Square Enix.
