Razer gives some first and firm steps for the Gaming Hardware more ecological and respectful with the environment

Razer has announced that it has united efforts with Underwriters Laboratories , a global leader in security science, to help meet its environmental objectives and circular economy.

One of the first projects that Razer and Underwriters Laboratories have launched seeks to create a product category rules for Gaming products and thus achieve their sustainability objectives and environmental assistance.

This project is born because the Gaming industry does not currently have a standardized system to measure whether a product is ecological or not , so Razer will work together with Underwriters Laboratories to create one.

Thus, Razer and Underwriters Laboratories will make a joint effort, at the industry level, to identify key environmental impact indicators that all manufacturers may measure when looking for an environmentally friendly product statement applied to the hardware for games .

To complete these rules of product category, Razer and Underwriters Laboratories will work with stakeholders to create an integral and objective form so that manufacturers around the world measure the impact of their environmental manufacturing processes.

The ultimate goal is to encourage more solid solutions that allow manufacturers to integrate sustainable practices into their production processes.

The introduction of this Environmental Product Declaration Eco-label (EPD) Type III will allow consumers to make decisions, knowing what gaming products are more respectful with the environment, and thus enjoy video games with products that are in tune with their Lifestyle.

RAZER has also reinforced its commitment to use recycled or recyclable materials in all its products for 2030 . This includes incorporating PCR plastic into all hardware products and adhere to an ecological product design.
